Last Night

so we finally are having our first night home....
after taking them camping....
and it's late but J is fighting sleep...
so i log off the pc and go
sit to watch tv with him and cuddle

the lights when out...
OMG...he's asleep in my arms and the power is out...
not just here but in the neighborhood

so what do i do?
instead of going straight to bed
i put J in bed
and wake up hubby to tell him

now this man is dead tired, and going fishing
first thing in the
morning with his dad
and he's like...is it just here or the neighborhood?
and i said...the neighborhood...
the neighbor kids are running around
outside with flashlights
so he says...great...where's the flashlight...

in the garage...i tell him exactly where...
(laughing as i type this)
we run to the window and make sure it's not just us....
see the damn kids running around....
he goes to get the flashlight
so i get in bed and wait..
because .....well he's not there and i'm tired...
so he comes in with the flashlight
and says...
what time is it?

midnight

so then just go to sleep

why do we do stupid things like this??
i mean....we just had 2 nights
without electricity out in the mountains

but why do we wake them out of a dead sleep 
to tell them it's dark??

this is one of those moments he likes to bring up 
when telling people
i'm a ditz....LOL
