Jack's First Show

well yesterday afternoon, i suprised hubby with tickets to a concert. We hadn't been out without the kids like that in some time. It started at 4, with the violent femmes kicking things off.

Those guys were cool! I was dancing all over the place.... Love them!

Then Cheap Trick took the stage... He even had a new guitar done up.... wow they were good....

but the best performer of the evening came right in the middle of the bill.....This guy....the one everyone was teasing me about going to see.....put on quite a show.... Mr Billy Idol was awesome! He had us all singing....i must have danced so much just with him....i didn't sit down for one second.
Even the new stuff was great.

They cleared the stage and set up for the next band. The energy of the amphitheater was awesome.
Then suddenly Journey started to play.... Yes, Journey...their new stuff was pretty rockish.... but the old stuff was wonderful.... too bad steve perry wasn't there...

Last but not least to perform was Def Leppard. The other guys all showed their age....but this band still looks i've always remembered them.

The music was great.
The price of the tickets were great.
The concert raised $40 Thousand? Million? for TACA.... from what was reported
The night out without kids.....was pricless...
was nice to be out like that again....
