Well it happened....
The baby is no longer a baby. He's 3 now and definitely a little boy. I can't even fall back on the things the other mom's are talking about: sippy cups, potty training, naps. He potty trained himself right before his second birthday. He was always ripping off his diapers, he hated wearing them. Sippy cups are a thing of the past, too. He likes cups like his brother, even if he does spill a bit. Naps are a rare occurance. He'd rather be running around, or lay to read a book, than actually sleep. Big boys do this sort of thing, you know.
Anyways.....
This milestone crossing was realized as he took off riding down the block on his new bike by himself. Grandma and Grandpa surprised him with a Thomas and friends bike, helmet, pads, and a lovely little matching horn (shaking my head). Well, off he went, and I watched from our front lawn, nearly in tears, with mixed emotions.
He's growing up so very fast. Next will be kindergarten.
My last child, the baby, is no longer a baby.
sighs~
